The ceremony dreams are made of start at Oak Hill Weddings. St. John's non denominational church near Galena Illinois is the perfect setting for the perfect ceremony. Room for up to 200 guests and the charm of an 1860s church set the stage for wonderful memories.

In addition to the beautiful St. John's Wedding Chapel, the grounds of Oak Hill feature many splendid spots to take pictures to preserve the memories of your wedding day or other special event. There is a general store, schoolhouse, summer kitchen, and more, all lovingly restored to the original 1800's times.

The elegantly converted 1850's Barnhouse at Oak Hill Inn boasts 3 floors of antiques, an upper and lower deck with a view of our one acre pond, a dumbwaiter & more. It accommodates up to 35 people inside and 50 people on the decks; perfect for a bridal shower, gift opening, tea, luncheon, rehearsal dinner or intimate private party.

Our wedding package includes:

Wedding receptions are the time to celebrate newly taken vows and the beginning of a lifetime together. Oak Hill can accommodate the intimate to eloborate reception. A 1890 restored Barn serves as a cozy venue for the intimate reception, bridal shower, luncheon, rehearsal dinner or private party. Accommodating 50 people inside and up to 125 people in a tented setting overlooking the pond featuring a lighted fountain. The expansive lawn and tranquil setting of rolling meadows are the ideal setting for outdoor events up to 200 people.

The grounds of Oak Hill, surrounding St. John's Wedding Chapel, feature many breathtaking photo opportunities to preserve the special moments of your wedding day or special event. The abundant flower gardens, the re-created general store, the 1850's restored one room schoolhouse, the fifty foot wooden bridge and the ponds make memorable backdrops to capture a moment in time.
