At
our 1845 Greek revival home, rich in history, the Aldrich
Guest House retains all the elements of its original style
and elegance. Our historic Galena Illinois Bed & Breakfast
offers the quiet of General
Grant's residential neighborhood with the ease of close
proximity to Main Street.
We invite you to peruse our Galena bed and breakfast photos
to choose your favorite guest room in which to spend your
next getaway! |
The Aldrich Guest house has five gracefully
appointed guest rooms each with queen beds, private baths,
some with fireplaces, and the comfort of central air conditioning. Guests
can also enjoy swings and gliders in the screened-in porch
which overlooks the grounds where General Grant once drilled
the Northern Troops. On lovely weather days guests
can stroll through our several flower gardens which include
a special tranquil shade garden in the back wooded area. For
indoor relaxation, guests can enjoy the double parlor or library
with TV/VCR. Guests gather each morning in the elegant
dining room for a full, formal breakfast. |

The location of the Aldrich
House is ideal for visiting Galena. The Grant Home is one block
up the hill; Grant Park is 2 blocks to the north; the Visitor
Center is one block away. Four short blocks from
the Aldrich is Main Street with shops and restaurants.
