Perched amongst Galena IL's gently rolling hills, The Irish Cottage and Frank O'Dowd's Irish Pub is Irish in concept, flavour, and design. All 77 enchanting rooms are thoughtfully designed to emulate the unique spirit of each and every county of Ireland. Relax in one of our many suites, replete with Dublin Victorian Era fireplace, whirlpool tub and overlooking our very own "Valley of Glendalough";.

For those of you hungering for some intellectual, thought provoking stimulation, why not step back in time through a Celtic twilight and emerge in our Gaelic Lounge/Library area. It's ambiance and furnishings are resplendent of a time forgotten.

From the moment one enters Frank O'Dowd's Pub in Galena IL, all senses will simultaneously be bathed by soft Celtic tunes as the eyes absorb the fine craftsmanship that entwines the colourful stained glass and dark oaks which are the epitome of a true Irish Pub. Nor will the lilt of Irish laughter go unnoticed as our staff (many of whom will be direct from Ireland) strive to make your evening as much a cultural one as it will be memorable. The pub, designed and handcrafted in Ireland, boasts an authenticity that defies comparison.

The next morning, you can dine in our Irish Cottage-Style breakfast room, where the tantalizing aromas of our home-cooked Irish breakfasts and house-baked soda breads will only be outdone by their taste and flavour. Bon appetite! Whether it's off to the golf course or ski-slope, shopping, hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, or just relaxing by "the King Lir pool", you'll need to start off the day the Irish Way (me Mam said so!).

The Blarney Stone Ballroom and our Wedding Package add an elegant Irish touch to your special occasion! You"ll be treated to a relaxing wedding evening in one of our fabulous whirlpool suites and a full Irish breakfast on your first morning of becoming "Mr & Mrs."! Your guests receive a three course plated dinner, coffee service and champagne toast. We have even included centerpieces with Irish Claddagh Wedding candles for the tables. The Blarney Stone Ballroom accommodates up to 250 people using round tables and our Dublin room accommodates up to 50 people.
